Main Crops:
I produce 100% of my family's vegetable needs. Practice four season gardening and harvesting. Blessed to live in Cascadia Northwest which has a mild maritime climate that makes this easier than our old homestead in central Washington did.

Do not grow grains or dried legumes - know how to do both but have too limited of space with adequate sun on our current homestead and opt instead to buy these from local growers. Periodically grow dried beans in an amount sufficient to keep my saved seed stock viable and fresh (emergency seed reserve!).

Grow 100% of our vegetables and about 40% of our fruit needs on our property.

Thanks for the comment regarding the updated pics I posted today. Ground covers/green manure crops are really useful and improve the soil tremendously. How's the blind kitty doing?

Hey Mc! Thanks for the nice comments on my pics. I use the crimson clover as a winter cover crop because it is semi winter hardy and in my zone (zone 8b) it will actually survive through the entire winter unless we get some freak deep fr...
